Tom '69 & Suzanne Moushey
As part of the first graduating class of Walsh Jesuit, Tom's experience as a student is filled with fond memories of a special place that was just beginning. These memories have always spurred his desire to participate at Walsh Jesuit in some way over the last 30 years. Moushey was asked to serve on the Board of Trustees in 1985, which ultimately led to being elected as Chairman; becoming the first alumnus to hold both positions. "The experience gave me an entirely new perspective on Walsh Jesuit. It brought full circle the realization that operating the school is a demanding and ongoing process," Moushey recalls.
During his time on the board, Moushey became involved in the endowment fund, a capital campaign, and was instrumental in the transition from all boys to co-educational in the 1990's. Currently, Moushey serves on Walsh Jesuit's planned giving committee to help ensure the future of the school. "I know it can be difficult to contribute when you're raising a family and there are many life commitments," he says. "But including Walsh Jesuit in your estate plans is simple and helps ensure the school's future. This is one great way to participate and give back to a great school."
